Le Cesarine

A truly Neapolitan feast

Napoli / Campania

La Cesarina

Germana welcomes you to the wonderful city of Naples. Her house is located in a perfect location, within easy reach of the most important points of interest such as the Catacombs of San Gennaro or the Museum of Capodimonte, that has one of the most amazing views of the city. A passion for cooking and love of her regional traditions… That's what makes Germana a real expert of Neapolitan cuisine!

The secret of the Cesarina

Traditional antipasto - octopus and olive salad, capers and celery and 'caciottine' cheese from the Sorrento coast with maccheroni frittata
Seafood risotto
stuffed squid
mixed salad
Babà al rum with seasonal fruit or crème pâttissière

Refined selection of local wines

Our Cesarina Germana likes to begin her flavour Experience with a typical mediterranean antipasto, octopus salad, enriched with olives, capers and celery, together with some 'caciottas mignon', a cheese from the Sorrento Coastline and delicious maccheroni omelettes.

Any traditional Parthenopean meal is bound to make the most of the area’s fabulous fish. Germana serves the famous 'risotto alla pescatora' as  the first course, and stuffed calamari as second course, with fresh mixed salad on the side.

Finally, one of the great classics of this region: Rum Baba with fresh fruits or, alternatively, a delicious creme patissiere dessert.

Cesarina's Reviews

Germana and her friends made us feel very welcome. The food was great - a true italian treat, and the setting in an italian, beautiful home completed the experience. We've had a great evening and would absolutely reccomend dinner at Germanas place.

Our customers says

"This was one our best experiences in Bologna. Our hosts, Gianni and Lorenza, were a well travelled and interesting couple about similar ages to ourselves. They also spoke perfect English, having lived in Canada for many years. Gianni taught us how to make tortellini from scratch which we ate with our meal. Gianni is a fine and the rest of the meal was excellent. Their place is an apartment in a medieval Palazzo which was well worth seeing on its own. We really enjoyed it."

"Our dinner with Angela was the best experience of our visit to Rome. The food was delicious, and it was delightful to talk with Angela and her Mother about food, life in Rome, work, and the state of the world in general. This experience would have been impossible for us without Le Cesarine."

"We had a wonderfull lunch time with Tania (30 minutes outside from Bologna). She was an excellent host and very charming. We enjoyed her traditional courses (antipasti, strozzapretti con salsiccia, brasato al limone) very much and could highly recommend her. The atmosphere was very relaxed and it was easy to drive to her. We would come again."
