To begin this Taste Experience in Italy’s capital, Margherita serves a bruschetta, toasted bread topped with tomato, anchovy, rocket and a drizzle of olive oil. This is accompanied by a selection of miniature aubergine pizzas with stringy mozzarella and flavoursome basil. To complete the antipasto, we have melt-in-the-mouth potato croquettes filled with mortadella.
For the first course, Margherita opts for fettuccine ‘alla papalina’, handmade pasta ribbons in a cream, egg, onion, cured ham and Parmigiano cheese sauce. It’s a delicious variation of the classic carbonara. Next, we have ‘piccatina’, fillets of veal fried with a squeeze of lemon accompanied by a deliciate salad.
Margherita serves the juiciest Papigno peaches for dessert, accompanied by wine and fresh ice cream.
