Laura welcomes her guests with a special starter, a pie made with pumpkin, taleggio cheese and amaretti biscuits, a highly original (and delicious) combination.
Next, she serves a delicate and sophisticated first course, pumpkin risotto. She can also prepare milanese tripe instead, for more adventurous guests!
For the second course, you can choose between two dishes. The first option is an ode to milanese tradition, the ‘rustin negàa’, little ‘twists’ of veal that are breaded and braised in butter and pancetta, before being cooked in wine or broth. The second option is a local speciality ‘ossobuco’ (veal shanks) with polenta. There is also a side dish of seasonal vegetables. You can choose whichever second course you prefer - both are delicious!
To finish, Laura serves a typical lombardian dessert, ‘pan de mein’, a cornflour dessert with chantilly cream.
