Nadia’s house and its stunning panorama provide the perfect setting for a culinary adventure. With the backdrop of Lake Bracciano and the Sabattini mountains, she guides us through the delights of her local cuisine. 

To start, we have a whitefish carpaccio with rocket and crostini (toasted breads). For the first course, Nadia serves spaghetti del lago Eva, pasta in a tomato and fish sauce, freshly sourced from Lake Bracciano. This is the perfect way to enjoy local flavours, as is the second course of stuffed pike in herbs, served with a puntarelle and anchovy salad on the side. 

To finish, we have a lemon Bavarian cream dessert with mint, a refreshing way to round off the experience.

Anguillara Sabazia is an enchanting town near Lake Bracciano, about half an hour from Rome. Nadia is originally from the busy city of Rome, but she loves taking in the views of Lake Braccino from her viewpoint, which looks out over its calm waters.

Nadia has always been a passionate cook, and is more than happy to admit that her life more or less revolves around the kitchen! Now she’s here to welcome guests into her splendid villa, which is surrounded by a gorgeous garden complete with a little lake. She can’t wait to show off the fabulous secrets of her local cuisine.

Cooking has always been the focal point of my family life. My dad knocked down a wall to make my kitchen bigger and now I spend most of my spare time in there!
