La Cesarina

Marilena lives in Lodrino, a lovely and quiet village immersed in the forests of the mountains of the province of Brescia. For our Cesarina, cooking is a passion: «I love taking my time to prepare my dishes. I deliberately avoid packaged products and I always try to cook from scratch using raw materials». A truly natural method, which makes her culinary creations healthy for both the body and the mind.

  • Soft formagella cheeze and mozzarella with locally-produced preserves
  • Courgette crudité drizzled with olive oil, lemon and pepper
  • Stuffed tomatoes with wholegrain whice and seasonal vegetables, cooked 'au gratin' 
  • Salted trout (sourced from lakes Garda/Iseo/Idro) with salsa verde and caramellised cherry tomatoes
  • Seasonal vegetables 
  • Ricotta cream 'coppa fredda' topped with amaretti crumbs and a drizzle of dark chocolate

Summer is in the air and it's time for some fresh, light and tasty dishes. Marilena knows it, in fact she decides to begin her flavour Experience with a unique appetizer: a soft mozzarella and some Formagella, a delicate typical cheese. On the side, a selection of local jams, courgettes crudité with oil, lemon and black pepper, tomatoes stuffed with brown rice and vegetables au gratin.

After this incredible entrée, an equally incredible main dish: a freshwater trout, from one of the local lakes, Garda, Iseo or Idro, seasoned with green sauce and caramelised tomatoes. Simply unforgettable, enriched with a side dish of fresh vegetables.

Let’s not forget about dessert! Our Cesarina likes to impress her guests and proposes cream of ricotta and macaroons, decorated with a sprinkling of dark chocolate. You’ve got to try it!
