Giuseppina has always been passionate about keeping her family traditions alive, and today she offers us a Taste Experience using fresh locally caught fish. As a starter, our Cesarina serves a rich appetizer: octopus salad with julienne carrots and celery, drizzled with local extra virgin olive oil and a squeeze of lemon, and a carpaccio of smoked swordfish with a citrus sauce. To end the appetizer, a tender, flavorful grilled eggplant tart with tomato and provolone from Ragusa.

As a first course, Giuseppina serves cavatelli pasta with swordfish, cherry tomatoes, the renowned locally produced plum tomatoes, and Avola almonds. The Taste Experience continues with another course using locally caught fish: sea bream 'en papillote', cooked on a bed of potatoes with tomatoes and capers. As a side dish,we have sliced roast peppers and grilled tomatoes.

For perfect ending, Giuseppina offers us a typical Sicilian dessert, which is inviting, fresh and aromatic: 'il gelo', literally meaning "ice" a sweet treat made with sugar and wheat starch, and you can choose between lemon and almond flavour.

Pachino, the town of Cesarina Giuseppina, knicknamed Pinella, is one of the southernmost towns in Italy, a place that is warmed by the rays of the sun, more than any other.

Close to the African coast, the foamy waves of the sea rich in fish, feed a culinary tradition characterized by the spicy fragrance of Mediterranean herbs, the heady taste of strong, dark wine and the flavor of the renowned tomatoes. Although young, our Cesarina’s stories allow us to relive the traditional family atmosphere, just as her dishes pay homage to the intense flavors of her area.
