Giuseppina has always been passionate about keeping her family traditions alive, and today she offers us a Taste Experience using fresh locally caught fish. As a starter, our Cesarina serves a rich appetizer: octopus salad with julienne carrots and celery, drizzled with local extra virgin olive oil and a squeeze of lemon, and a carpaccio of smoked swordfish with a citrus sauce. To end the appetizer, a tender, flavorful grilled eggplant tart with tomato and provolone from Ragusa.
As a first course, Giuseppina serves cavatelli pasta with swordfish, cherry tomatoes, the renowned locally produced plum tomatoes, and Avola almonds. The Taste Experience continues with another course using locally caught fish: sea bream 'en papillote', cooked on a bed of potatoes with tomatoes and capers. As a side dish,we have sliced roast peppers and grilled tomatoes.
For perfect ending, Giuseppina offers us a typical Sicilian dessert, which is inviting, fresh and aromatic: 'il gelo', literally meaning "ice" a sweet treat made with sugar and wheat starch, and you can choose between lemon and almond flavour.
