The Milanese Cesarini couple Nicoletta and Fabio reinterpret the culinary traditions of their regions of origin: Emilia Romagna and Lazio. Indomitable travelers and lovers of their own home, both journalists and cooking enthusiasts, this solid Milanese couple toils together over the stovetop, “even taking the risk of having an argument.”

Nicoletta and Fabio’s kitchen translates culinary influences from the regions of their family members into”Milanese.” In their beautiful home, food becomes a joyous trail that embraces diners sitting around Nicoletta’s elegantly set table, where you can admire the beautiful embroidered tablecloths that the Cesarina has inherited from her family.

We translate the Roman and Emilian recipes passed down by our grandparents into ‘Milanese’ ones

Nicoletta and Fabio's Taste Experience revisits Milanese versions of recipes and gastronomic traditions from their regions: Emilia Romagna and Lazio.

Let’s start with a fresh and delicious antipasto: Anchovies marinated in extra virgin olive oil, lemon and aromatic herbs. Then, a first course that is symbolic of traditional Roman cuisine: pasta matriciana.

The second course is one of the most typical Milanese dishes: mondeghili, meatballs made ​​with boiled meat and flash fried in butter, a dish originally from the peasant traditions of old Milan is now often served as an appetizer or as a main dish; Fabio and Nicoletta accompany them with tasty creamed potatoes and a mixed salad with vinaigrette dressing.

We finish with a dessert course of aromatic apple pie with cinnamon and an excellent limoncello, homemade by our Cesarini couple.

I been guest at Nicoletta & Fabio's. It was my first time with the Cesarine and, well, it couldn't have been any better. First of all they're really nice people

and we had a great time. We talked a lot during the dinner and I really enjoyed the time I spent with them.

As for the food, all i can say is that I haven't eaten so well in a long time.They told me their recipes are originally from various regions, and I was amazed thinking about how many exciting recipes there could be in the whole of Italy.

The whole evening was awesome - great food and great people. I'm repeating myself but.. It couldn't be ANY better.
