To begin this Taste Experience in the Tuscan hills, our Cesarine serve an antipasto of ‘uova mimosa’, an appetising dish made with boiled eggs. 

For the first course, Alessandra and Ada serve maccheroni in ‘sugo finto’, a delightful countryside dish that is typical to the region. The sauce is similar to bolognese ragù, but without the meat! For the second course, our Cesarine serve a delicious ‘fritto misto alla lucchese’, with a side of fried vegetables. 

Finally, we have the perfect dessert to finish: Piatto Forte, a creamy dessert that is an absolute delight to the senses!

Alessandra and Ada welcome us into a town that seems to be lost in time, nestled in the stunning Apuane Alps. The two live in Celle di Puccini, an area of Pescaglia noted for its links with the great composer Giacomo Puccini, who spent much of his childhood here - in fact, there is a Puccini museum here in his honour. 

Ada and Alessandra have been passionate cooks for their entire lives, and they love to celebrate their local traditional recipes that have been handed down through the generations.
