  • Tagliatelle alla vignarola
  • Lamb in herb marinade
  • Mixed salad with pecorino cheese cream
  • Lemon and mint sorbet

Refined selection of local wines

Our journey through the flavours of traditional Roman cuisine begins with a delicious anchovy and escarole tartlet, a starter which demonstrates the meeting of Jewish and Roman cultures, a marriage of fresh fish and (tonality?) of the escarole, for an appetising beginning to this Taste Experience.

Next, we have a classic of the Lazio region’s cuisine, tagliatelle “alla vignarola”, fresh egg tagliatelle in a rich vegetable sauce. Next, we have herb-marinated roast lamb, which gives a fresh and fragrant touch perfect for the summer months. This is served with a fresh raw vegetable salad, with a scattering of pecorino cheese, encapsulating the flavours of Rome’s cuisine.

For dessert, we have a refreshing lemon and mint sorbet. Perfect!

Claudia takes us on a journey of discovery through the many sides of Roman cuisine, from the Jewish influence to the countryside traditions that have shaped the city’s flavours and typical dishes. Despite having a busy career as an accountant, Claudia has always made an effort to dedicate her spare time to honing her cooking skills, and writes a fantastic cooking blog to share her ideas with the world.

Her home is in the green and leafy suburbs of Rome, but within easy reach of the historical centre. She is lucky enough to have a large terrace, which is perfect for hosting guests when the weather is nice surrounded by mediterranean plants and a stunning view.
