Our journey through the flavours of traditional Roman cuisine begins with a delicious anchovy and escarole tartlet, a starter which demonstrates the meeting of Jewish and Roman cultures, a marriage of fresh fish and (tonality?) of the escarole, for an appetising beginning to this Taste Experience.
Next, we have a classic of the Lazio region’s cuisine, tagliatelle “alla vignarola”, fresh egg tagliatelle in a rich vegetable sauce. Next, we have herb-marinated roast lamb, which gives a fresh and fragrant touch perfect for the summer months. This is served with a fresh raw vegetable salad, with a scattering of pecorino cheese, encapsulating the flavours of Rome’s cuisine.
For dessert, we have a refreshing lemon and mint sorbet. Perfect!
