Orders

Your booking is confirmed once we have recieved your payment. You will then receive all the information you need about your host and the relevant details that you will need on the day such as their address and phone number. We also send you an email reminder a few days before the event. When the day comes, all you have to do is make your way to the Cesarina's address as indicated on your booking email... and enjoy your event!

Remember, our staff is always available if you any questions or concerns, both before and after the event. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you need.

Taste Experiences are private events, so you and your guests will be the only ones present.

With regards to the cooking courses, there may be other guests with you, up to the maximum number of people permitted for each course in question.

For privacy reasons, we can only disclose the Cesarina's phone number and address once your booking has been paid for and confirmed. You will then receive all the details for your reservation that you will need on the day. 

Before you make your booking, you are able to see the approximate location of your Cesarina's home on the map. 

We kindly ask that you use the telephone numbers of your host exclusively for practical and urgent situations close to the event, such as if you are having difficulties in reaching their home, or are running late. 

Should you need to request or communicate any other information (e.g. doubts about the management of the event, payment questions, further information on menus, etc.), or to discuss any other matters (e.g. any allergies/intolerances, cancellation or modification of the event, etc.), please direct your comments to our staff by using the contact form or links within the area reserved for registered users.

In case you need to cancel a reservation, the amount you have paid you will be fully refunded if you let us know 72 hours prior to the event. Please remember that if you give us less than 72 hours' warning, it will not be possible for us to provide a refund as the Cesarina will have already have started preparing for the event.

It is also possible to request a change to the event that you've already booked directly (e.g. changing the number of guests, menu changes, request to change the date, etc.) through the "your bookings" tab, available in the area reserved for registered users. We will always do our best to accommodate to your request.

In case of a last-minute cancellation, we ask you to promptly notify the cancellation of the event directly to your Cesarina host, as well as our staff, stating the references that you'll find on your booking confirmation email.

Although unlikely, there is a small possibility that our staff is forced to cancel an event that has already been confirmed. In this case, you will be given a full refund within 2 working days, and we will do our best to offer you an alternative.

Our goal is to ensure our guests have a memorable Taste Experience with our Cesarine, so we strive to guarantee the following:

The Cesarine have been carefully selected by a committee of experts;

The menus offered represent the best of genuine local Italian traditions;

The Cesarine's houses are suitable for the Experience we want to give you;

The Cesarine take the utmost care to ensure the highest-quality food and preparation;

You may cancel or change your booking at no additional cost up to 3 days before the event;

Your personal details are secure and will not be disclosed to any other party for commercial purposes;

The payment system we use, Paypal, offers the highest possible security guarantees.

And if that's not enough, we remind you that our guests are covered up to 2,000,000 euros by an insurance policy we have acquired with UNIQA Assicurazione S.p.A., for any eventuality related to events organized through our site.

When making your booking, it is important to indicate any allergies and/or food intolerances of all participants in the event as soon as possible. We will ensure that any allergy/intolerance is communicated to the host Cesarina at the booking stage. The host will then ensure that the menu does not contain any allergens. Our staff will inform you about any changes to the menu that the Cesarina has made prior to your event.

We kindly request that where possible you avoid selecting events that include the ingredients that you are unable to eat. The Cesarina is allowed to deny the booking if they do not agree with making a given amount of changes to the menu, which would result in the cancellation of the event process and, of course, a full refund.

Modifications to a menu are only to be made if there is a real medical risk for any guests. In order to ensure complete authenticity of the Taste Experience, we do not allow changes or modifications at the discretion of the personal tastes of the individual diners.

In order to guarantee maximum safety, the payment for your reservation will be made through Paypal. We do not directly manage the payment, and we do not withhold or save your any of your card details.

We suggest you create a Paypal account in order to speed up the payment process.

You will be notified of the precise time by email after your reservation has been confirmed, along with all the information you will need regarding your Cesarina host.

However, for planning purposes you can consider an approximate time slot of 12:30 to 14:00 for lunch and 19:30 to 21:00 for dinner.

Yes, you can. In the event that you need an invoice associated with your company/VAT, contact our customer service after your reservation has been confirmed.

Taste Experiences

The best way to learn about an country's history and culture is through engaging with local people and discovering its typical food. A Taste Experience allows you to enjoy an authentic local menu prepared by carefully selected home cooks, eating with them around their dinner table just like one of the family. 

A Taste Experience is an authentic and unique way to immerse yourself in Italy's cultural heritage. 

To book a lunch or dinner with one of our Cesarine, just follow the “where to eat?” link and indicate your preferred location from those available.

Remember, you will need to create an account in order to book an event: registration only takes a few minutes and will ensure that we can manage the communications related to your reservation and booking. 

After selecting your Cesarina, choose one of the available dates and click on the "book" button. You will be taken to a secure page where you can specify the number of guests, how many adults/children will be present. You can also choose from the options available for each event (e.g. vegetarian menu or assist with meal preparation).

After providing the required information, note that you will then make a payment by Paypal or credit card by clicking on the button “Proceed to payment” and following the steps. Once the payment has been received, we will send you an email booking confirmation.

Remember, you can request dates other than those already available on the calendar; please get in touch and our staff will do their best to accommodate your request.

In the event that you require a date that is not marked as available on the calendar, you can propose a date more convenient to you. Just click on "request another date", which you'll find immediately below the calendar.

Of course! Each Taste Experience includes local wine carefully selected by the Cesarina to compliment their dishes. A bottle of wine for every two guests is included in the booking price.

Drinking together is a pleasure; please consume alcohol responsibly to best enjoy your Taste Experience.

When you are welcomed into a Cesarina's home, please respect their hospitality and make sure that you are punctual and treat them with respect, as they have been kind enough to receive you as a guest. 

We also kindly request that in the unlikely event that you have any grievances or criticism, you address these directly to our staff, who will go out of their way to resolve any problems. 

In case you need to cancel a reservation, the amount you have paid you will be fully refunded if you let us know 72 hours prior to the event. We can accommodate, with profound respect, the needs of those who follow diets with certain specific cultural, religious, ethical or health requirements. If this is the case, we ask that you highlight any special requirements in the box "notes/allergies/intolerances" on the order form.

Please also note that, in the event that it is available for the event in question, the order form includes a query box to specify how many guests require a vegetarian menu. Our staff will inform you about the changes to the menu choices by the Cesarina host after booking confirmation.

Please keep in mind that our mission is the protection of traditional Italian cuisine. In order to ensure complete authenticity of the Taste Experience on offer, we do not allow changes or modifications at the discretion of the personal tastes of the individual diners, or linked to diets which are incompatible with the nature of the culinary tradition of which we promote. Please also note that it is at the Cesarina's discretion whether or not to meet the individual requests.

Of course. Children up to 8 years old are half price, and those up to the age of 4 are completely free of charge. Remember to specify the number of children who will be present at the event through the order form. 

You can make payment for the events related to the taste experiences and courses directly through our website, using all major credit cards and Paypal. In order to ensure maximum security of the transaction, the payment is made directly through the Paypal site, to which you will be redirected after filling out the order form.

For other types of events (e.g. Cesarina home, special events, etc.), our staff will inform you the details to carry out a bank transfer. In this case you are entitled to request an invoice.

Yes, many of our Cesarina hosts offer both lunch and dinner option.

You will find the options indicated in the description of each Taste Experience, and you can specify whether you want to book a lunch or dinner in the order form.

Each cooking course is divided into 3 classes. In order to book the class that interests you the most, you must have an account on our website. Registration is free of charge and ensures that all communication relating to your booking is well managed. 

After selecting a course, choose which lesson you would like, select one of the available dates from the calendar, and click "book". You will be taken to an order form page where you can specify the numer of attendees and any extra options (e.g. a Market Tour with the Cesarina before your class). 

Once you have provided this information, all you need to do is click "proceed to payment", which you can make securely with a credit/debit card or Paypal account. 

When we have received your payment, we will send you a booking confirmation email with all the details you will need on the day of your event, as well as a receipt. 

Remember that you can also request dates that are not marked as available on the calendar. If you need, just email our staff and we will do our best to arrange an alternative date for you.

Our staff is on hand for any type of culinary event, from cooking demonstrations to gala dinners, to cooking courses for groups of employees. Together we'll select the menu and Cesarine best suited to the occasion, while maintaining the authenticity of Italian culinary tradition.

Our staff is also at your service for the selection and rental of the location, the management of table service, and preparations for the event.

Unfortunately, we cannot give an answer that applies in every case, because obviously the cost will vary depending on the number of guests, the menu being offered, whether or not the location's rental is being included, service, and preparations; but our staff is at your disposal to help you find the best solution for your needs.

Our goal is to put on an event that best satisfies you and your guests, taking on all organizational duties ourselves. For this reason, in addition to the preparation of the dishes on the menu, our staff is at your disposal for the selection and rental of the location, the management of table service, and preparations for the event.

Whatever the occasion, whether its a birthday, graduation party or family dinner, our Cesarine are here to help. We can cater for lunches or dinners, in the comfort of your very own home. You can request this service from a single Cesarina, or ask our staff which Cesarine are available in the province of your interest.

You can then agree on a date and menu, according to your needs, with our staff. Once the event is organized, the Cesarina will come to your home a few hours before dinner (or lunch), finish preparing the dishes using your kitchen, and set the table with your dishware. All you need to do is relax and enjoy your event!

Unfortunately, we cannot give an answer that applies in all cases, because obviously the cost will vary depending on the number of guests, the menu being offered, and the distance between your home and the Cesarina's; but our staff will help you to find the best solution for your needs.

On the "Hire a personal chef" page, you can find the list of provinces for which service has already become active. You will also find the "Cesarina at home" indication on the pages related to the Cesarina’s individual Taste Experiences. 

In any case, our staff is at your service to help you select the Cesarina and menu best adapted to your needs.

Yes, you can request a personalized menu, but we suggest that you use the Taste Experience menu offered by the Cesarina as a starting point.

The Cesarina, on the basis of the menu agreed upon, will come to your house with the meals already part-made; they will then make use of your kitchen and a few facilities, as well dishware to set the table.

Once the menu has been agreed and the event is booked, you can contact the Cesarina to allow them to make sure that you have all the equipment they need.
